Get Midprofile
Will Midprofile run on my mobile phone, smartphone or PDA?
You need a mobile phone, smartphone or PDA that supports Java version Midp 2.0 or above. Most mobile handsets shipped today either are Java-enabled
or can be prepared to run Java applications. If your phone supports Java applications or games, has a camera, and if your carrier allows use of the
camera and network by Java mobile applications, your phone should work.

Settings
You may need to change some security settings on your phone to enable Midprofile to use capture or import photos, or to use the network.
We offer signed versions of Midprofile for eBay as well as unsigned versions. The advantage of the signed version is that you can change permission settings to less restrictive permissions.
This means that you will get fewer permission dialogs for camera use and network access. With some phones and carriers you'll need the signed version to be able to capture or import photos.
Setting permissions for Midprofile varies a lot among different phones. In general, you need to find the the folder where Midprofile is located. Then you select Midprofile and press an options/menu button. Here are some examples:
- Sony Ericsson: Highlight Midprofile. Click More, then Permissions. From here you can set "Read user data", "Write user data", "Net Access", and "Multimedia recording" to Never ask or to the maximum permissions shown.
- Nokia S60: From the Main Menu, navigate to Application Manager (or App Mgr.) usually found in the Settings or Tools folder. After opening the Application Manager, scroll down to Midprofile. Select Options, then Suite Settings.
From here you can set "Network Access" and "Multimedia" to Always Allowed. If you want to import data from a Smart Card or phone memory, also set "Read User Data" and "SIM/Smart Card" to Always Allowed or to maximum permissions shown.
